Wuthering Heights Cover
A two part project redesign of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. First, I typeset over 400+ pages in InDesign following a grid, and then sent the book to get printed.
When designing this cover I kept asking myself "what does it mean to be haunted?"
Overview

For the cover, I extensively researched the Romanticism Period and what it meant for both art and literature. After that, I painted the cover of the book in acrylics. The front cover is a window looking to a beautiful outdoor landscape with the inside of the house being run down and ragged, while the back cover is a window looking toward the inside where the outside is what is run down bricks with a beautiful interior. The dichotomy of the front to back meant to represent the classism and struggle the characters face in the book with notes of being haunted by those left behind. The window to the outside shows a lone figure, a literal ghost in the environment, while the inside shows an empty space where ghosts of people get left behind.
